Program

What is DATIpilot?

DATIpilot is a topic-open funding programme of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space that tests new approaches to innovation and knowledge and technology transfer. Its aim is to accelerate the transfer of research results into practical applications while also testing more flexible and effective funding procedures. To achieve this, stakeholders from science, industry, society and public administration work together on technological and social innovations. BioBlock is one of 20 innovation communities funded under the DATIpilot programme.

The program has two modules: Innovation Sprints, which rapidly implement concrete transfer ideas within up to 18 months, and Innovation Communities, which support long-term collaborative innovation projects for up to four years. Both emphasize openness, co-creation, and agile processes across academia, industry, and society.
